I live in New York City, when visiting NYCs parks   I often see signage letting the public know what they can't do in the space

these signs exist I suspect to protect against lawsuits

If somebody would stub their toe in New York City, they could sue the city unless there was a sign that said, “Please wear shoes.

protect against lawsuits

what does not exist in our parks  is any signage that give you any idea of what you can do in the space. And perhaps this is also because of lawsuits . What I am proposing is perhaps signage could be put up in our parks  that would give their users some idea of what to do In those spaces. And hopefully this can be done with the proper vetting so that the city does not get sued. I will leave the lawsuit issues to the city departments that deal with these. however here's my idea for such a sign

The graphic show, screen free active Recreation, screen free passive Recreation on a bench, digital Recreation on a smartphone and on the right hand side Graphics to show that the spaces inclusive for people with disabilities, a person playing basketball

This is a sample of the kind of signage that could be placed in a park to connect with a website like this.

The graphic shows,

screen free active Recreation,

screen free passive Recreation,

digital Recreation

and on the right hand side

Graphics to show that the space is  inclusive for people with many disabilities not just wheelchair users.

You see a person playing basketball in a wheelchair,

Lego braille blocks

, a person with neurological issues,

and the American sign language symbol for play.

The QR code can be scanned by   a smartphone photography app and it will bring up the website with the URL below which also can be entered through the smartphone keyboard

an explanation of what this website does will be on the left

on the right will be an explanation for people what special needs that they could call in and chat with somebody on the parks department ADA  staff that will help them create a personalized experience at the park. I suggest this person should be a recreation therapist, a play therapist or someone else with a degree in Special Needs Recreation

In the bottom left-hand corner in Braille it can say something like... if  you have a visual impairment call 800 555 1n1n

In addition to a general sign as above, there can be signs for specific features of a park, to get more detailed instructions on how to use that feature
